This memorial website was created in the memory of our sweet baby boy, Samuel Bocanegra who was born in Texas on July 09, 2004 and passed away on November 06, 2004 . We are honored and blessed to be his family and he will live in our hearts and memories forever. Thank you Jesus for the dance!
Samuel was born on Friday July 9.2004 weighing in at 9 pounds 1 ounce and 20 1/4 inches. He was a blessing from the moment we found out about him. He stayed in the hospital for the first 12 days of his life and then we were finally able to bring him home. One of the happiest days of my life. We knew he would require seeing several specialist but with God by our side we knew we could get through anything. After seeing his cardiologist several times he felt his heart was getting worse and felt a heart cath to take pictures and do some valve ballooning was best. On Oct. 5th he had his heart cath done and during this procedure the Drs saw alot of problems with his heart that would require open heart surg and soon. It was scheduled for the following Monday Oct. 11th. They did not want us to go home until after this surgery. Well on that Friday the Drs came in and said they thought it would be best if we went home for the weekend and came back. We were so excited to have him home and really enjoyed every moment with him and the baby who normally wanted to be left alone to sleep in his bed ended up spending that whole weekend in mommy and daddy's bed. My husband and I both felt God was blessing us with this beautiful weekend together. We continued to pray faithfully that God would let us keep him and not take him home. My prayer was also to not let him suffer and do what was best for Samuel. I truly trust God's plan even when sometimes it is so painful.
Jeremiah 29:11
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD," plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
